"African
Folk Art - Burkina Faso"
The exhibition was
held between 14-16 December 2002 and it was visited by over
1.500 visitors. The exhibits were samples of artistic handicraft
from Burkina Faso, the Ivory Coast, Ghana and Mali.

The
most important exhibits were masks, wooden statues and jewellery
typical of the African culture. Such objects have always assisted
African tribes in their everyday life (harvesting, hunting) and
in various rituals (birth, funeral, marriage). |

| |
The
exhibition accompanied the opening ceremony of the Kisiel Institute
at the Graduate School of Business - National-Louis University
(WSB-NLU). |
